The World Health Organization (WHO) defines
Health as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not
merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” Quality healthcare is essential to
human dignity.
We believe that healthcare is a fundamental human right and
should be fully funded as a public good. This right was first articulated
Internationally in the WHO Constitution of 1946. It was further affirmed by the
1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 1966 International Covenant
on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
In 1978, this rights-based approach to
healthcare attained a historic milestone when representatives from 134
countries and 67 International organizations convened at Alma- Ata in the then
Soviet Union to declare Primary Healthcare as the key to attainment of the goal
of “Health for all”. This was reaffirmed in Astana, Kazakhstan at the Global
Conference of Primary Healthcare, in the context of 2030 Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs).
We leverage deep connections between ancestral communities and their identifiable diaspora populations across the globe to drive development
Our flagship health center, presently under construction, is located at Umuogele Ntigha in Abia State, Nigeria. Upon completion, it will serve a population of about 45,000 residents of ancestral Ntigha clan
We believe that this interpretation of Alma-Ata declaration in the context of the ancestral community in a globalized world holds special promise
